Today’s Miracle Monday comes to us from Sister Edna Calabrese.
After reading Sister Lori Kimmel’s wonderful testimony, one of our family’s miracles that happened in the early 1980s quickly came to my mind.
One winter’s evening, we were headed to church on Wednesday night.
The roads were really bad. Joel was driving and our first-born, Linda, was in the back seat. Joel was driving slow and steady.
As we looked ahead, we saw a car barreling ahead on our side of the road. We couldn’t believe what we were seeing. The next thing I knew, I screamed out, “Oh Lord help us!”
Joel swerved to the left and began to spin back to the right into an empty parking lot. I don’t remember what happened to the other car, but I will always remember how the Lord spared our family that day.
I was given this poem on Oct. 16, 2017. I feel it goes perfectly with this experience.
“The Lord Will Hear”
When God’s people cry out
The Lord will hear
He is always standing near
For his people, he does care
When God’s people cry out
The Lord will hear
His people need not ever fear
For his protection is always there
When God’s people cry out
The Lord will hear
He sees and knows your every care
For his blessed assurance will always be there
