The Breath of Life

For Miracle Monday, we’re bringing you this beautiful Blessing Bit that appeared in the March 2019 issue of The Gospel News. After reading it, let’s all thank God for the opportunity to live another day.

On September 27, 2018, I was admitted to the hospital for shortness of breath. On October 1, I stopped breathing and was placed on a respirator.

While in this state, I had a dream in which I found myself in a wooden crate that had fallen out from the hospital.

It seemed to me that there was some sort of accident or storm that caused the hospital to fall apart. I was very calm and all dressed up, as I would be when attending a Sunday church service.

I began to think that I would never be found, and as I sat in the crate, it began to rain very softly, and I began to talk with God. I told Him that it was time that I should die and asked Him to take me home.

As I was speaking to God, I heard the voice of a man on my left side say, “Josie, you are going to be alright.” Then, on my right side, I heard the voice of a woman say, “Josie, we are here to help you.”

Praise God, He renewed my life and let me live to see the light of another day.
