Today’s Miracle Monday is a testimony of protection submitted by Sister Patty (Henderson) Rabe. This is an example of a close shave that’s just way too close to be called a coincidence.
Even though this miracle occurred many years ago, it’s as real to me as if it happened yesterday.
When I was 17 years old and just out of high school, something very scary happened to me. My mother was getting dinner ready and, realizing that we were out of milk, asked me to drive to the store for her. It was around dinnertime, but it was very dark outside because it was winter.
As I was driving home from the store, suddenly, the left driver’s window, only several inches from my face, shattered into a million pieces! At that exact moment, I felt something graze the front of my neck! I knew that someone had shot at me from one of the houses I was driving past.
When I returned home, I went into the house and told my dad that he needed to come out and look at the car window. Upon examining it, he told me that someone had shot a .22 caliber bullet at my car. It was only a microsecond away from going through my neck. We couldn’t believe this could happen in our neighborhood.
I knew that God had saved my life that night. Praise God! Since then, He has performed many miracles in my life, saving both of my children’s lives after being hit by drunk drivers, and many other miracles.
Psalm 91:11, “For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.”
