The Hidden Keyring

Today’s lost-and-found Miracle Monday is a story by Sister Stefanie Callens about something she thought was lost forever but was actually safe in God’s hands.

I have a tendency to lose my keys on a fairly regular basis. It drives my husband crazy. I am thankful for a backup set of both car and house keys!

Last summer, I lost my full set of house keys. On that keyring were not only the keys to my house, but the keys to my gym, including the mailbox key, which I did not have a duplicate for. I tried to retrace my steps and figure out where I had them last, but I could not find them anywhere.

I searched my car, the garage, and the house to no avail. Finally, I gave up and asked God to show me. I had faith that God would let me wake up one morning with the exact remembrance of where they were. I woke up a few times over the course of the next month with a thought, but there were no keys there. After a couple of months, I gave up.

Then, one day, I was at Grease Monkey getting my car’s oil changed, and the technician came out with my keyring in his hand and asked me if they were mine. I asked him where he found them since I had looked everywhere for them. I must have put them on the hood of the car, and they slid down below where the windshield wipers are, and they stayed protected in place for months.

I thank God for returning my keys to me in His time.
