Have you ever seen someone who wasn’t raised with faith come to the Lord? And then their family members follow? These people break the cycle, so to speak, and the entire trajectory of their family tree is forever changed — for the better!

This is one of the most beautiful story lines that we as Christians have the privilege of witnessing as it plays out right before our eyes. It’s a tale as old as time, but it never gets old.

Today’s Good Word contains a very precious promise from the Lord to His servants (verse 17) and it has to do with this heritage transformation. And if you don’t have children, think about all of the people who can say that you’ve played a role in their spiritual development — these relationships matter!

By teaching upcoming generations about the Lord, we’re setting them up to inherit peace. Now, how’s that for a worthwhile venture?
