Found … Then Lost!

Today’s Miracle Monday is from Sister Janet Oestreicher, and it’s the first that corresponds to our April theme, which is “lost and found.” We love this testimony because it’s actually a “reverse” lost and found. Sister Janet’s doctors found something but then … read on to see what happened.

On March 1, 2017, I had surgery on my back. For three months, I had been experiencing severe pain in my right leg and could barely walk. I have an excellent neurosurgeon who ordered an MRI that showed I had a herniated disc that was pressing on a nerve. It needed surgery.

After the surgery, the doctor talked to my husband, Brother Pete, and told him he saw the herniated disc on the MRI, but when he went to repair it, he couldn’t find it. During surgery, the MRI is displayed for the surgeon, so it is right there for everyone to see while they operate.

That evening, the doctor came in to see me. He said, “I could see the disc on the MRI, but I searched everywhere and moved everything and couldn’t find it.”

Praise God! He said, “Every time we operate on a disc, it makes the back less stable.” He only had to chip away a little bone and scar tissue.

My pain is gone and I am doing well. God answered everyone’s prayers on my behalf and gave me a miracle.

Announcing the May Miracle Monday Theme

Next month, our theme is “Travel Testimonies.” We want to hear how the Lord worked in your life while you were traveling — and that doesn’t necessarily mean traveling a long distance or going on vacation. We want to hear how God made Himself known while you were getting from Point A to B. Click here to share your story via our online contact form, or click here to email us.
