Does God Really Give People Dreams?

Today, we’re kicking off our dream-themed Miracle Monday with this interesting experience sent by Sister Patty Machnik. Enjoy!

This is an experience that my mother, Vanna Ignagni, had shortly after joining the church. She’d come to America from Italy where she’d been a devout Catholic not long before. Because she had never heard of people having dreams sent from God before coming to The Church of Jesus Christ, she didn’t know whether she believed that they actually were from God.

Therefore, she made it a matter of prayer. During the period of time that she was praying about the matter, one night, she dreamed she was sleeping in bed at night and that her very young daughter, Cindy, was sleeping in her crib in the next room. She then saw a man at the window of Cindy’s room, which frightened her very much.

She woke up to hear Cindy crying from the next room. When she went to check on her, Cindy said that a man had been looking in her window. My mother knew that God was telling her that He does send dreams to His people to teach them, warn them, and protect them. Thank God that He does.

How wonderful is our God!! That had to have been pretty scary for your mom but no doubt she must have felt comfort knowing God was protecting her. Thank you so much for sharing!!
