A Pain in the Neck

Today’s Miracle Monday is a kid-themed testimony submitted by Sister Donna Amormino. Enjoy!

When our daughter, Celeste, was about 5 years old, she had many sore throats. One winter season, she had been sick for about three straight nights with a high temperature. I didn’t get much rest. So, on Saturday night, my husband, Brother Eugene, offered to take care of our child so I could get some sleep.

Like the nights before, she awoke with pain. Brother Eugene looked at her throat with a flashlight and saw many white spots. He then asked her if he could give her some “Jesus oil” (blessed oil was allowed in the homes of the Saints at this time). She agreed. He thought, “She isn’t going to like the taste,” but to his surprise she responded, “That was sweet.” (Only the Lord could have made it that way.)

After holding her in his arms for about half an hour, Brother Eugene asked if she had any pain, and she replied, “No.” He took the flashlight again and looked at her throat. All the white spots were gone. A miracle!

He then tried to explain to Celeste the Spirit of God that came to help. She simply said, “It’s like the wind, Daddy. You can’t see it but you can feel it.” He was so thrilled to hear her response.

That Sunday morning, when I was preparing for the day, Brother Eugene said Celeste wanted to go to church to tell her Sunday School teacher what happened to her and how Jesus healed her boo-boo. She went and gave her testimony. Praise God!
