The Last Days

Today, instead of our regularly scheduled Miracle Monday, we’re sharing an article by Brother David Nolfi.

Looking back to the 1950s, the foundation of the United States of America remained sure, built upon home, marriage, family, prosperous blessings, and the love of God. Employment opportunities flourished, education excelled, investments were secure, manufacturing abounded… There was a greater degree of trust and integrity. There was a reverence for God our Creator. Churches were filled with parishioners, and God was worshiped and thanked.

Six decades later to this present day reveals an ever-deepening moral decline. Unsuspectingly, an attack upon the good of our nation unfolded. More and more, the ethical standards of righteousness were eroded from under us such that we now find ourselves deluged by a level of dishonesty, pride, corruption, greed, lust, hatred, and deviant behavior such as never known. We have turned from the true and living God to the gluttony of self-indulgence into sin’s wicked pleasure!

Apostle Paul wrote to Timothy, “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.” (2 Timothy 3:1-7)

It is very evident the prophetic warning of Apostle Paul is a plague upon this nation. Are these the last days? Is the end near as many biblical scholars profess? Will these present perilous times result in the last trump of God? Is Jesus Christ coming triumphant in the clouds in this generation? Will the Lord soon change His saints in a twinkling of an eye from mortality to immortality?

If this generation does not repent, then these are indeed the last days of this civilization that turned away from God: But the end is not yet!

The Lord speak through Isaiah 2:2-4: “And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD’s house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it. And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.”

The same prophecy is contained in Micah 4:1-4.

The Word of God speaks to these last days by two prophetic witnesses of a glorious reign of peace and joy in Zion. We sing about it; we preach about it; we hope in it; we dream of it — Zion! God’s Kingdom here on earth prepared for the righteous while in these mortal bodies. A thousand-year reign of peace! Who wants to go?

Know this: No one can enter into Zion except by repentance and a desire to love and serve God Almighty.

So, with all the uncertainty and confusion in these last days, the most important thing to know is do not procrastinate the day of your salvation!

Believe in God; trust in God; pray to God as never before; repent and obey God. Regardless of the perils of these last days, the Lord will see us safely to Zion!
