Spread the Good Word: John 20:29

Today’s Good Word reminds us that even though we haven’t seen Jesus Christ in the flesh, we are blessed if we believe in what our eyes have not witnessed.

Why doesn’t God allow everyone to tangibly experience Him in some way? When Jesus lived in the flesh, His disciples and the people in those days could actually see, hear, and touch Him … yet, despite that, not everyone actually believed His words and teachings. (You’d think they wouldn’t be able to resist.)

God in His infinite wisdom knows that we humans aren’t necessarily convinced by what our five senses tell us is true. (We can find a rationale to explain that away.) Paradoxically, we’re more convinced by the intangible — the Holy Spirit. How blessed we are if we yield to the enticings of that Spirit and believe!
