Spread the Good Word: Hebrews 6:10

Today’s Good Word reminds us that the work we do isn’t for nothing. Sometimes we don’t see the results we desire in the timeframe we expect, especially when it comes to the things of God.

Maybe you’ve been teaching youth classes, but it doesn’t seem like the young people are “getting it.” Perhaps you’ve been giving your testimony to a friend or co-worker, and he or she hasn’t comitted to visiting church yet. These things take time.

Some of you might find yourself in even hotter water. For example, you just got baptized, but your loved ones are critical of your decision to serve the Lord. Maybe you’ve taken on a spiritual responsibility, and it’s taking its toll on you. It’s possible that some of you are being persecuted or discriminated against right now for following God’s commandments.

Let this verse be a comfort to you. God doesn’t forget your labor of love, especially when you’re serving His people and doing it in His name. Those who sow will reap in God’s good time. Faint not!
