Spread the Good Word: Exodus 12:13

Today’s Good Word comes from the passover story. If you remember, Moses instructed the children of Israel in Egypt to put the blood of a lamb on their doorposts so that they’d be spared from the final plague — the death of the family’s firstborn.

This weekend, we who have received Jesus Christ celebrate a personal passover. When Jesus Christ willingly sacrificed Himself on the cross, He became that lamb, and His blood covered our sins, sparing us from the eternal punishment we deserve — if we only believe!

May you have a joyous time in praise and thanks this weekend as you glorify God for Christ’s sacrifice and resurrection!
