It’s easy to feel defeated and victimized. Whether life has dealt you some hard hits lately, or you feel like you’re always getting the short end of the stick, know this:

Nothing can get the best of you when you let Christ have the victory over it. If you insist on being master of your life without the Lord’s help, then even the smallest of annoyances and inconveniences will send you off the deep end. With Jesus, you can have victory over every major challenge and crisis. You can even beat death (taking this verse in its context) and the eternal punishment that comes with being a sinner, and that’s because Jesus Christ took that punishment on Himself instead. 

Yes, thanks be to God, who gives us victory through Jesus Christ!
