One Size Fits All

I have to admit that I’m not a fan of shopping for clothes. It can be easier to shop for my children, but when they are in between sizes, the task can still be quite daunting. Jean shopping for myself?! Yeah, that’s real fun … either the waist is too big but the jeans fit perfectly, the jeans are too tight but the waist is perfect, or they are too long on me. It’s a guessing game that I don’t like to play. Just point me in the right direction where I can find yoga pants and let’s call it a day. Haha!

Wouldn’t it be so nice to go into a store and everything was sure to fit you? Like, “I will take those jeans, that dress over there, and the red shirt on the top shelf!” No need for a trip into the dressing room because you already know it will fit you. Now that’s my kind of store! The only decisions you have to make are color and style. Oh, to dream, right?

Well, with God, one size fits all. His love doesn’t have a tag on it with certain sizes — a small bit of love for this person and a huge helping of love for this other person. His love for everyone is infinite, and the price has already been paid. That’s the best part — His love is available to everybody. He has more love to give than we can even comprehend. One size fits all when it comes to God’s love for His people. He loves us all the same. I’m so thankful for His love.

“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16
