Not Foolish Enough

Today’s article by Brother P. is another installment in the series, “The Day He Found Me.”

I grew up in the Church of Jesus Christ. I was taught that one day I would feel the calling of God and would have to make a decision about whether or not I would accept that call and get baptized.

I was at a region campout when I felt that call, decided to get baptized, and was.

No amazing miracles, no visions or angels descending. That was over 25 years ago.

Over the course of my life, I have made a lot of poor decisions, regretted purchases, wished I could take back things I’ve said — you know what I mean. But the decision I made to repent of my sins and to follow Jesus all the days of my life … that was a decision I have never regretted.

I thank God that I was not foolish enough to think I could make it through this life without Him.

Totally agree with you. Even though I was not born and raised in the church, I have a dear friend who shared it with me. I always tell her it was the greatest gift she could have ever given me. God bless you much!

    very Interesting share !

Baptism is an important event in the believer’s walk with Jesus Christ. The Bible talks about both water immersion baptism in which a believer makes a public confession of their faith. Jesus lead the way in example of water baptism!
