For today’s Miracle Monday, we’re bringing you a testimony of God’s timing from Sister Pat Valenti.
We all at times have things in life that weigh on us. For a period of time, it seemed that I was stuck in a downward spiral emotionally, causing me to somewhat withdraw and feel extreme anxiety.
While I was in this state of mind, a friend of mine came to mind who I hadn’t been in touch with for a while. She was going through a lot more than I was. Two years ago, she had lost her 26-year-old son to a drug overdose. I decided to text her and I told her that even though I had not been in touch, I thought of her often and prayed for her. I also told her how much I love her and how special she is to me.
She immediately responded in length. She said she has been depressed since her son’s death and has isolated herself. She then said, “Your text was impeccably timed. I am sitting here feeling unloved and your text came in. Thank you so much!”.
Immediately, I was uplifted. In my own trial, I had forgotten who I was. In times of joy AND in sorrow, we are saints of the most high God. Even in times when we forget who we are, He doesn’t. I learned that God can use us even when we feel at a low point. This was a huge lesson for me. We never stop being His instrument.
