As I began to stir the vegetables that I added to the soup, I almost dropped my spoon. I grabbed it close to the boiling liquid, and it splashed onto my hand, particularly my index and middle fingers. The pain was intense, and I screamed. 

My husband came to check on me, and I asked him to anoint me. As he did, I had a flashback to a time many years ago when I was a young mother. 

I was trying to sew a dress for my mother-in-law as a Christmas present. I accidentally put my hand on a hot iron, and after my husband anointed me, I was healed. I was able to use my hand and finish the dress in time for Christmas. 

As I pondered that memory, I asked God to do the same for me as He did back then. When my husband said, “Amen,” I had no pain or redness. 

Praise God for a healing!
