We hope that you enjoyed the Psalm 19 Memory Challenge the past two weeks. Today, we’re picking back up with Miracle Monday by bringing you two weather-related testimonies.

It was a dark, moonless night in 1995, and it was raining very hard. A group of brothers, including myself, had just finished a project at the Inner City Branch in Detroit, Michigan, and we decided to drive home. Brother Gary Champine was behind the wheel of his cargo van; I was in the passenger seat; Brother Tim Capone sat in between us on a milk crate.
The threatening conditions concerned me, and I tightened my seat belt. We approached a section of the freeway that was not equipped with streetlights. We were traveling in the right-most “slow” lane at about 50 miles per hour.
We saw the taillights of two stationary vehicles ahead of us on the emergency shoulder. As we approached, one of the vehicles suddenly and inexplicably swerved into our lane and stopped (or stalled)! Brother Gary began to turn the steering wheel to avoid the vehicle, but we were very close — it was too late.
Expecting a horrible accident, I braced myself for the collision.
But NO impact.
As we continued down the freeway in the same lane, I immediately turned around and saw the vehicle’s headlight in our lane! Yes, it is true. By the Power of Christ, we defied all logic and laws of physics. We went THROUGH the other vehicle with no harm to either party. We knew that the Lord had delivered us from what would have certainly been a fatal accident. We rejoiced and offered a prayer of thanks for His providence.

Years ago, I planned a high school graduation party for my daughter, Sister Karen Pandone Haley. She was baptized at age 13, and we were very thankful and proud of her. I wanted this to be a special event for her. We invited the brothers and sisters from the Youngstown Branch in Ohio and other local branches along with Karen’s school friends.
The plan was to have the party at our home, but the weather forecast showed rain. That concerned me because it was impossible to put all those people inside my home. I prayed, “Please, Lord, do not let it rain. I want this to be a special event for my daughter because she has been a such a delight to Brother Don and me.”
The day came, and the weather was beautiful. People gathered, and we had such a wonderful celebration. Afterward, we learned that all the other areas in Hubbard had rain that day. There was not a drop of rain at the Pandone home in the same city. God is so good. We thank Him for answering our prayers.

Two beautiful testimonies of God’s grace.
