Carried Through the Storm

Today, we’re sharing a bonus Miracle Monday that has elements of angels and weather, just like yesterday’s! Thank you, Brother Larry Champine for submitting this one.

The Autumn of 2000 was a particularly challenging time for me. Along with the regular, daily concerns and demands of life, I was dealing with some very difficult situations related to my businesses, some issues in my extended family that needed careful resolution, and my many responsibilities in the Church, including my new role as the presiding elder of the large Detroit Branch #1.

I tried my best to handle these things and trust the Lord to give me His strength as I knew He could and would. But it was still a very stressful time, and I was beginning to feel overwhelmed. Only my wife was aware of the burden I was carrying.

One Saturday evening during this time, I received a call from an older Sister in the Branch. She had no idea what I was dealing with. In fact, she had many afflictions of her own to overcome.

She told me the Lord had given her a dream about me. In the dream, she saw me walking on a street during a terrible snow storm — a blizzard, in fact. She saw that I needed to cross over to the other side, but with the wind and snow, it was a struggle for me to even walk.

Then she saw herself appear in the dream, approaching me. As easily as if I was a feather, she found herself picking me up and carrying me — THROUGH THE SNOW AND WIND — safely to the other side. She set me down, and all was well.

Again, this sister was completely unaware of my struggles. She just knew the Lord had given her this dream to share with me. And she told me that, regardless of what I was facing, she would be carrying me in her prayers.

I cannot tell you how much this meant to me.

Soon after, thank God, things DID get better. The storm passed. The Lord met all my needs. But this experience reminded me that the love and power of God — revealed, expressed and shared through His Saints — is greater than ANY CHALLENGE this life may bring.

How blessed we are! Praise God!

What a beautiful testimony of God’s love for us, and how He uses us to pray for each other when we are “in tune” with His spirit.

Proof of what God can do for us when we are united in spirit and love.
    “Love ye one another.”

I am just so touched by this testimony!! Wow!! I love how God works and lets us know how much He is aware of what we are going through and that He will take care of us. How many times we question ourselves when He may try to assure us that He is there. It means so much when it comes from a direction we were not expecting. God bless you much!!
