Today’s Miracle Monday is an experience that Brother Gary Thompson had on June 16, 2021.
I was preparing to teach a men’s class in my branch. I was praying, asking God to give me something to share with the class. He had already given me the topic and the first part of the subject, but I needed more to finish it, if you will. The Lord brought before me No. 37 in The Songs of Zion, “Weighed in the Balance.”
Then, I didn’t have an open vision, but it was more just insight from the Holy Spirit and a thought. (I’ve been told this is called a “mind’s eye vision.”)
A scene played out before me, and the words I’m writing cannot begin to describe the joy and power I felt when this happened.
There was an old-style balancing scale before me. Satan was throwing bricks onto one side of the scale that were brought in by two dump trucks. The color of each brick was the darkest and blackest beyond any color I’ve ever seen. Each brick represented one of my sins.
With each brick that went onto the scale, Satan would call out to God my sin: “He did this on this day,” or “He didn’t do this on that day.”
When the evil one was finally done (with extra stress on “finally”), Jesus walked over to the other side of the scale that had nothing on it, and not saying a word, He took just the smallest speck of His blood—and I emphasize just the smallest speck of His blood—and placed it on the other side of the scale.
The scale balanced out for just a split second, and then it slammed down in my favor. All those bricks, which represented my sins, flew off the other side, never to be seen or heard from again.
Thank you Jesus, thank you Jesus, thank you my Lord and Savior Jesus. This was very personal to me and tied in perfectly to the class, as we were talking about the Apostle Paul’s conversion in Acts 9 and also the sinful woman in Luke 7 who anointed Jesus’s feet, among others.
“Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little. And he said unto her, Thy sins are forgiven … And he said to the woman, Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace.” (Luke 7:47-50)

What a beautiful confirmation of God’s love & that your sins are forgiven by just a small spec of the blood of Jesus. God Bless You for sharing.
Beautiful experience, Brother Gary. Thank you for sharing
I loved this experience. It is such a clear picture of how Jesus’ sacrifice can negate even the sins of the worst sinner. We are not worthy but by our faith He has has given His forgiveness and purifies us
What a wonderful experience~
… that was Mary Magdalene (Luke 7:47-50). Thanks be to God for your experience.
