Today’s Good Word is a pearl of wisdom from Proverbs. It reminds us that the truth and a lie don’t have a similar lifespan.

The truth stands firm, holds up to scrutiny, and always works when put into practice. 

A lie is useful in the moment, but it eventually falls flat.

Truth is life-giving, and that’s why it continues on, perpetuating itself. A lie doesn’t have that power. 

The next time you’re tempted to go with a lie rather than the truth, remember today’s Good Word, and ask God for the strength to do what’s right.
