Today, we’re sharing the last of your responses to our December prompt, which was, “What’s your Christmas wish (or prayer) for the New Year?” May you enjoy the words of your brothers and sisters in Christ.
As the scripture in Philippians reads, “Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.” My Christmas wish is that no matter our circumstances, we can always choose joy. With God’s gift of joy in our hearts, we can face anything! – Sister LuAnn Carson (Monongahela Branch, Pennsylvania)
My Christmas wish/prayer for 2021 is to find that all of my brothers, sisters, and friends have not only survived 2020, but God has given us a greater love for and understanding of each other! That we might know there are differences in our looks, our lives, our thoughts sometimes, yet He’s helped us to look beyond the outer parts, to see the beauty that lies within us all — and ultimately, draw us closer together, so no one ever feels separated or alone! May God’s love bind us closer together in 2021! – Sister Lori Kimmel (Lake Worth Branch, Florida)
My wish for Christmas and the New Year is that the love, peace and joy of Jesus Christ be spread throughout the world to all people. That I may show all those qualities in my life to others and that I would be a blessing to my brothers and sisters in the church. – Sister Denise Bodo (Farmington Hills Branch, Michigan)
My top Christmas wish/prayer for 2021 is that all our branches can open, we don’t have to wear masks, we can have feet washing, and we can fellowship and greet each other with a holy kiss and hug, knowing without a doubt in my heart that the Lord will continue to carry us through and protect us. – Sister Terri Nath (Monongahela Branch, Pennsylvania)
My prayer for 2021 is that my husband’s heart can be softened by the Spirit of God, not only for the Christmas holiday and the miracle of Christ’s birth, but for a fresh way to start the New Year. He accepted Christ a few years ago — that’s another wonderful story — and I pray that God will touch him in a way that we can share our service to God together. – Sister Joyce Smith (Simi Valley Branch, California)
My Christmas wish (prayer) is that the Lord will bless us with more love. The world needs more love during these pandemic times we are going through today. Also how wonderful it would be to embrace and hug one another once again. In that day, we will once again be able to wash one another’s feet with tears of love and the Spirit of God. – Brother Michael McGuire (Cape Coral Branch, Florida)
My Christmas wish is for Jesus’ love for all the brothers and sisters to extend to their families and bring them into our loving church family. – Sister Vivian Sweeney (Coastal Carolina Mission, South Carolina)
Like all difficult times, this Covid-19 shall pass, too. Let us not lose hope and keep on praying to God for brighter days ahead and that the world recovers soon. I pray that I will keep my focus where it needs to be, which is with the Lord. – Sister Nancy Plahovinsak (Edison Branch, New Jersey)
A big thank you to all who participated in this month’s Monday prompt!

Beautiful. The Love of JESUS rules!!! Let us allow that Perfect Love to rule in our hearts in all that we do. If we obey what JESUS commands us to do (it wasn’t just a suggestion) then it will be impossible not to please HIM (CHRIST our LORD) and we will be beyond Blessed. GOD Bless you and your love ones, love you all but JESUS loves you most.
Mark 12: 30. And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
31. And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.
