At our area camp a few weeks ago, I interviewed the following children by asking them, “What is your favorite hymn to sing at church and why?” Here are their answers.

Robby Palensar: My favorite hymn is “Sing Glory.” It’s because we sing it a lot and I really like it. It’s my favorite.

Dylan Palensar: My favorite hymn is “En La Vina Del Senor” because I love to sing in Spanish.

Zoe Burkhart: My favorite hymn is “Sing My Lord” because I like it.

Isaiah Cotellesse: My favorite hymn is “Sing Glory” because I like it, and I call it out.

Michael Cotellesse: My favorite hymn is “Sing Glory” because all the people like to sing it.

Josephine Smith: My favorite hymn is “Sing Glory” because I like when they sing glory.

Henry Watson: I like “We Shall Sing on the Mountain of the Lord” because I like to climb mountains, and I like all great things.”

I asked each child individually, so they didn’t hear one another’s answers. “Sing Glory” was definitely a hit. We love our children and want them to know that we care about them and are interested in what they like about church.

Now, it’s your turn. What’s your favorite hymn?

There are to many “favorites” to list but the one I’ve always considered my favorite is “Keeping Step” #103 In The Songs Of Zion. Why? Because its awesome. Sing Glory is amazing too. Thank you JESUS for the these songs that we Praise you with.

    Torn between two
“For those tears I died” when Jordan was little I had to change the words when I sang him to sleep because he didn’t want to hear about dying before bed so instead of “for those tears I died” it became “I’m always at your side”
    the other
“We, The Church of Jesus Christ” I fell in love with the song the first time I heard Sis Karen Progar sign it. I like how it tells the story of our Church.
