Today’s Good Word is one of the most famous and quoted verses in the Bible. At GMBA Camp, one of the days was devoted to discovering what true strength is.
What is true strength to you?
Most of us would agree that inner strength — strength of character, integrity — matters more than physical strength. But how do we develop inner strength? How can we do what’s right even when we’re sorely tempted to do what’s, say, only half-right? How can we find the strength to govern our thoughts and discipline our actions even when there’s no external motivating reason to do so?
The answer is in today’s Good Word. Through Christ. It’s not a matter of believing in ourselves enough or implementing the correct sequence of goal-setting strategies. Only when we believe in Christ and place ourselves under His authority do we gain access to strength that is mightier than anything we’ve ever known.
