Why are we often surprised that obeying God takes courage? Today’s Good Word clearly demonstrates that courage is needed for the job. The Lord’s commandments are simple — love God and your neighbor as yourself — but the implications of His law touch every aspect of our lives … and sometimes it’s not easy to stick to the standard.

If you’ve been feeling like obeying God’s Word has put you on the outside of the culture, has distanced you from the people in your life, or has resulted in any negative consequences, then we pray that God gives you the courage to stay the course and not sway to the right or the left. His ways lead to life, but the path isn’t for wimps. Don’t give up!
