We’ve got an exciting surprise for you, Gospel Blog readers. This week is GMBA Campout held at California University of Pennsylvania, and our very own columnist, Sister Linda Scolaro, has volunteered to bring a little bit of the camp to us here on the blog by sharing stories, testimonies, and thoughts from her fellow campers.
The seminar theme for the week is “In Him,” and it’s broken down into four daily topics:
Monday: Building in Him
Tuesday: In the Fold
Wednesday: All In
Thursday: Confidently in Him
Sister Linda asked Sister Terri Bravo from the Edison, New Jersey Branch, “What does ‘Building In Him’ mean to you?” Sister Terri related the following dream.
When I was first baptized, I lived in Parsippany, NJ, and I saw a tiny house on an island. There was a terrible storm, and I said, “I would never want to live in that house. How unsafe. Look how tiny it is, situated on this little island.“ Then, I heard a voice in response that said, “But not if it is built on a solid rock.” That experience has carried me through many trials of life.

If you haven’t already heard, it’s the 50th anniversary of GMBA Camp, so you can search your favorite social media platforms — Facebook, Instagram, Twitter — for #campiversary to see posts from campers as well as vintage pics from camps of yore.

Tomorrow, we’re taking the day off for Fourth of July — we hope you are too! — but we’ll be back on Wednesday with more updates from GMBA.
