Have you ever gone fishing and had to cast a line? You can’t just give it a weak toss or simply drop it at your feet. The act of casting is throwing “in a forceful way.” 

Psalm 55:22 says to cast our burdens upon the Lord, and Peter says to cast all our care upon Him (1 Pe. 5:7). 

If I obey what these verses instruct me to do, my troubles do not remain on my shoulders or even at my feet. Instead, they are forcefully cast away to God, who takes care of them in His wisdom. 

With my burdens far from me in The Lord’s hands, I can live with peace and joy in my heart every day.
