Today, we’re sharing a poem written by Brother Justin Severson, which he composed after the apostles made a special visit to the Lake Worth, Florida, Branch. The apostles’ message was Urgency of Righteousness.

As I hear the news I look to the sky, I wonder if this is the sign of the times

Everyone is talking many are concerned they’re wondering where they will now turn

Opposition is building and terror contends with the light but heed the message to be right

Is Jesus in you? Jesus in you?

Our Lord once said thy kingdom come and we know God’s will must be done

Kings will rise and nations will fall and forced to remember that stone that looked too small

Storms are approaching there is continual fright, don’t be a victim of the thief that comes in the night

Is Jesus in you? Jesus in you?

In the end many will recall what they have sown but should know an Angel has flown

The spirit of God will subdue all fear and when our Lord comes he’ll wipe away your tears

Is Jesus in you? Jesus in you?

Heed the message for the righteous shall fight, but not by power or might

Spirit is the medium we shall live, always following the one that gives

Is Jesus in you? Jesus in you?

The following day after finishing the poem, Brother Justin saw that John 14:4-7 was the verse of the day on the Church’s Bible and Book of Mormon app.

Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.

I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.

If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
