Someone Watching Over Me

Empty School BusHere is an experience dedicated to all you parents and grandparents who are nervous about sending your kids to school. These days, it doesn’t seem like there are any safe places left for them. But we know that God has them in the palm of His hand.

By Sister Donna Bogle

My husband, Bro Joe Bogle, had the following dream concerning our daughter as she was about to start school. Every year, as they start back to school, we are reminded of God’s goodness and protection of our children!

When our daughter, Juliet, was old enough to go to kindergarten, I was naturally worried about her first day at school. I prayed for God to take care of her.

The night before the first day of school, I had a dream. In the dream, I saw our daughter sitting on her swing, and I also saw someone sitting in the swing next to her.

Then Juliet got off the swing and grabbed her backpack and started walking toward the front of the house. As she did, the person on the swing got up and followed after her. As he came nearer, I recognized the man as Brother Ryan Ross, who had gone on to his reward some years before. He smiled as he walked by, and then my dream ended.

I believe that God was letting me know that our daughter was going to be protected and that we need not worry.

There are so many negative influences and dangers that can affect our kids once they walk out the door, but this story reminds us that God watches over them. It also reminds us of a different blog post from a few months back. We all want our kids to be safe, but remember, safe isn’t a place. God bless you today!
