Terms & Conditions Acceptance of any contribution, gift or grant is at the discretion of the The Church of Jesus Christ. The The Church of Jesus Christ will not accept any gift unless it can be used or expended consistently with the purpose and mission of the The Church of Jesus Christ. No irrevocable gift, whether outright or life-income in character, will be accepted if under any reasonable set of circumstances the gift would jeopardize the donor’s financial security. The The Church of Jesus Christ will refrain from providing advice about the tax or other treatment of gifts and will encourage donors to seek guidance from their own professional advisers to assist them in the process of making their donation. The The Church of Jesus Christ will accept donations of cash or publicly traded securities. Gifts of in-kind services will be accepted at the discretion of the The Church of Jesus Christ. Certain other gifts, real property, personal property, in-kind gifts, non-liquid securities, and contributions whose sources are not transparent or whose use is restricted in some manner, must be reviewed prior to acceptance due to the special obligations raised or liabilities they may pose for The Church of Jesus Christ. The The Church of Jesus Christ will provide acknowledgments to donors meeting tax requirements for property received by the charity as a gift. However, except for gifts of cash and publicly traded securities, no value shall be ascribed to any receipt or other form of substantiation of a gift received by The Church of Jesus Christ. The The Church of Jesus Christ will respect the intent of the donor relating to gifts for restricted purposes and those relating to the desire to remain anonymous. With respect to anonymous gifts, the The Church of Jesus Christ will restrict information about the donor to only those staff members with a need to know. The The Church of Jesus Christ will not compensate, whether through commissions, finders' fees, or other means, any third party for directing a gift or a donor to the The Church of Jesus Christ. Privacy Policy The Church of Jesus Christ knows you care how information about you is used and shared. We hope the following will help you to understand how we will collect, use and protect the information you provide to us on our mobile app. Bible and Book of Mormon App Like most mobile app publishers, The Church of Jesus Christ collects non-personally-identifying information made available through the iTunes App Store® and the Google Play Store®, such as the device type, operating system, language preference, and the date and time of downloads among other non-personally-identifying information. Our purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better serve the users of our mobile apps. The Church also collects personally-identifying information as is described below. Information You Provide The Church of Jesus Christ does not require users of our apps to provide any personal information, however, such information may be required to access advanced app features that provide enhanced and personalized functionality. When you sign up for an app account, we ask you for personal information (such as your name, email address and an account password), or we may ask you to sign in with your Facebook login. How We Use and Protect Your Information When you sign up for an app account, The Church of Jesus Christ collects your information only insofar as is necessary or appropriate to fulfill the purpose of your use of our apps. We may also use your information in order to provide further communications to you, and you have the ability to opt-out of such communications. The Church also collects potentially personally-identifying information like device ID and Internet Protocol (IP) addresses of users. These are used for administration purposes only. The Church does not disclose personally-identifying information to any third parties. Accessing and Updating Your Personal Information When you use The Church of Jesus Christ apps, we make good-faith efforts to provide you with access to your personal information either to correct it if it is inaccurate or to delete your information from our system at your request. In any case where we provide information access and correction, we perform this service free of charge, except if doing so would require a disproportionate effort. Third-Party Sites This Privacy Policy applies only to apps that are owned and operated by The Church of Jesus Christ. The Church cannot regulate other sites that may be linked from within our apps and/or websites.
