Year-End Survey Results
Thanks to everyone who took the time to respond to the survey a few weeks back! It's our desire to do two main things with the Gospel Blog this year: glorify God and serve you.
God willing in 2015, we intend to continue publishing the great things God has done by sharing your testimonies, experiences, and miracles. We also hope that the devotionals, lessons, and other writings will be a spiritual supplement to your everyday scripture reading routine.
We also pray that the Blog connects saints around The Church, promoting that "family feel" even when we can't sit in the same pew or around the same dinner table.
Today, we're going to share the results of the survey and provide you another opportunity to shoot over any feedback that you have — by leaving a comment below or contacting us privately.
First off, we asked, "What do you like best about the Gospel Blog?" and we're so encouraged by your loving comments. Here are just a few.
"I love the personal testimonies and miracles. I get to learn about brothers and sisters from around The Church, and I get to hear real stories of God working in their lives. I love the international testimonies as well."
"Knowing that among all my junk mail waiting for me to look at there is the Gospel Blog email to start my day on a high note."
"It fills me up for my spiritual morning breakfast."
"Having connection to the church since we do not have a branch close enough to attend."
When we asked what we could do to improve, many of you said, "Get the word out!" We're definitely going to put more effort into making sure that everyone in the church knows about the Blog — but we can sure use your help! Word of mouth is still the most powerful marketing tool out there. (Sorry, Google.)
What we heard loud and clear is "Keep the miracles and testimonies coming!" and "Keep the articles short!" We'll strive to do both.
Several of you also provided some really thoughtful critiques that we are going to take to heart. Thank you so much for those contributions.
You also gave us a ton of great ideas for the future! Here are some of your terrific suggestions:
- Scripture/church trivia, quizzes, and games
- Shorter reading challenges
- Guest blogs from church leadership and auxiliary leaders (Ladies' Circle, GMBA)
- More songs, sound bites, and video clips
- Parenting articles
- Financial stewardship articles
- Different perspectives (a la "then vs. now")
- Creative writing, such as stories or poems
Again, thanks so much for contributing your voice so the Blog can better serve you. If you didn't get a chance to take the survey, you can still tell us what you think by leaving a comment below or contacting us privately.
Here's to making 2015 the best yet!
