Spread the Good Word: Romans 15:1

Good Word Friday Theme: Charity

Today's verse highlights one important way we can extend charity (love) to others. Have you ever heard someone say, "When it's well with you, please remember me"?

We all experience mountains and valleys in life. When you're on top of the world, feeling spiritually strong, and life is smooth sailing, then ask yourself, "Has God granted me this mountaintop so that I can focus on helping others through their valleys?"

Take a moment and look at the people around you. Decide if you can use some of your extra bandwidth to help someone in need. Maybe your finances are great; can you help someone who is struggling? Maybe you have more time than you know what to do with; can you take something off someone else's overfull plate? Maybe your faith is on fire; can you fast and pray for someone whose faith is frazzled and fraying?

"We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak." (Romans 15:1)
