Puppy Love

We hope you enjoyed last week's Valentine's series. It's still February, and we're continuing with animal-related testimonies and experiences. Here's one from Sister KarenJo Pandone.

When we adopted our dogs, they were 7 weeks old and paper trained, which was nice since it was November in Michigan. Buster, one of the puppies, had a habit of shredding things, paper, toys, etc. My husband, Michael, was very patient with him.

Michael would clean up the messes, put the paper down, and inevitably Buster would mess it up, sometimes within minutes! Finally, Michael decided to put a large piece of heavy plastic down, newspaper on the top of that, and then duct tape all the edges so that Buster wasn't tempted by the loose edges. Unfortunately, this also didn't work. Buster still shredded the papers!

One day, about 10 minutes after Michael had patiently again taped everything down, he came back into the workshop only to find Buster once again shredding everything. His patience ran out and he said to Buster, "When will you ever learn?!" Immediately the Lord spoke to Michael's mind and said, "Now you know how I feel."

We've recently said good-bye to Buster after 11 years of enjoying him. He was forever the puppy shredding his toys and always game to play with you. But every time I looked at him, this experience would come back to me and I would make a renewed effort to learn the lessons that the Lord had for me.

Miracles for March

Next month, we'd like to share testimonies related to fasting and prayer. We can all use a little encouragement when it comes to this spiritual must-do. Please tell us about a time when the Lord blessed you or your branch (or even someone else on your behalf) in fasting and prayer. Submit your story here, or you can always email us at TCOJCblog [at] gmail.com.

I absolutely LOVED this blog!!! I had to laugh when Bro. Michael heard that voice in his head. I often apologize to the Lord when it seems like I just do not get it. The visual really left an imprint. Thank you for sharing!!! :)
