He's a Healing God
Today is our last day of fast-and-prayer Miracle Mondays, and we're sharing the testimony of Brother Deo in Burundi, Africa. Next month, there is no theme, so please send in all the experiences you've been meaning to share! Submit them via our handy form.
We were praying and fasting one Wednesday in the church – through day and night. The next day (Thursday), we welcomed whoever needs a prayer to enter the church. Among the persons who came in, there was a woman, not a member of our church. She had something swelling in her neck on the left side. She was really suffering, and it was difficult to her to turn around. She had to turn with her whole body to look behind. When we were praying for the sick, we humbly asked God to heal her. It was difficult even for us to believe this woman would get better. We finished and we went home.
On Sunday of the same week, she attended the church meeting and gave testimony she was the one who had swelling in the neck. I looked at her and saw that her face was not new to me, but I could not recognize her exactly, as her sickness had even changed her face due to the swelling.
She declared she had excessive pain when she came on Thursday, but immediately after the prayer for her to be healed, she realized there was a positive change inside her body. As she was walking back home, she said, the pain disappeared gradually and in the evening, the neck was still swelling, but she could feel no pain, and she could eat and swallow easily while it was impossible before.
On Friday, she was all right, and the neck was not swelling or feeling pain. She said her husband had proposed her to go to a witch doctor, which she rejected, because she was planning to go to church first, and then to the hospital. She was healed without going to the hospital by the power of Jesus Christ.
All the congregation was really touched by the testimony, especially those who had seen her during her sickness. I told the congregation God did that miracle to make us believe in Him as a healing God.
Pray for The Church in Burundi
Can you imagine your child being sick and not having access to proper medical care? Thank God He takes care of His children everywhere. Today, please pray for the saints in Burundi that God protects them and provides for them.
