Gospel Blog Subscription Drive

On our year-end survey, we asked, "What can we do better here at the Gospel Blog?" Many of you said "Publicity!" We heard 'ya.

So, for the month of February, we're hosting our first annual subscription drive. And we need your help!

Here's how it works.

Be the Subscription Coordinator for Your Branch

We need at least one volunteer from every branch and mission to be the subscription coordinator. Who is going to volunteer for your branch? YOU! Simply fill out our contact form and let us know that you're volunteering to be the subscription coordinator for your branch. (Definitely a good idea to mention which branch you're from — and your name.)

Pick a Subscription Day

Select one Sunday (or Wednesday night — or anytime, really) in February and call it "Subscription Day." This is the day that you, the subscription coordinator, will gather the names and email addresses of everyone in your branch who wants to subscribe to the Gospel Blog.

Gather Email Addresses

Print out this signup sheet, and put it on a clipboard, and grab a pen. Then, go around to everyone in your branch and ask people if they'd like to receive daily emails with Gospel Blog articles. If people say no, that's OK. Give them a hug anyway. If they say yes, then give them a big hug and write their name and email address on the signup sheet.

Just FYI, we never share your email address with anyone for any reason.

TIP: Some of you are probably thinking, "Hey, I'll print that signup sheet and put it on our bulletin board." Please don't do that if you can avoid it. Do you know what happens to that signup sheet when it's on the bulletin board? Everyone forgets about it. How many times has that happened with potluck, cleanup, and teacher signups? If you actually go around to everyone personally, you're much more likely to get a good response.

Send Us the Signup Sheet

You may need to host two "Subscription Sundays" in order to get to everyone. When you're done, send us the signup sheet. You can do this by scanning it or taking a picture with your phone and emailing it to us at TCOJCblog [at] gmail.com or uploading it using the submission form. Or you can type the information into an email. Whatever is easiest — just make sure everything's legible.

When you send us your list, please let us know approximately how many members you have in your branch. It'll be interesting to see which branch drums up the most subscriptions by number and percentage. No prizes for this one. Hopefully blogs and blessings will be reward enough.

    I would like to be the Subscription Coordinator for our mission.
    We have only a for subscriptions, but they want me to small mission that meets once a month. We will be starting up again in April. I approached our members about signing up only they prefer me to continue forwarding the Gospel Blog to them for keeping in touch with them. I guess they like my communication with them.
