Good Cheer Greetings: Our Gift to You!

Surprise! The Gospel Blog has a Christmas gift to give each one of you!

This year, we're treating you to 10 cute digital designs that you can download, print, and use however you like.

These fun graphics display some of our favorite Christmastime scriptures and song lyrics. We hope they inspire you.

Decorating for Christmas is one of the joys of the season. (My dad gets so excited that he puts up his tree on Oct. 31.) From stockings hung by the chimney with care to boughs of holly decking the halls, there's no shortage of adornments to add festivity to your home.

So, why not swap Santa and snowmen for something a little more meaningful? There's nothing better than covering your home in God's word or reminders of His extravagant gift to mankind. That's what we hope these 10 graphics will do.

With so many secular symbols competing for a spot on your wall, mantel, or tree, it can be refreshing to give your seasonal décor some true spirit.

Throughout the month of December, we're going to show you some ways you can actually use these cute Christmas printables as gifts and décor — just for fun. Today, we show you how to make some embellished Christmas cards.

Everyone loves receiving photo greeting cards at Christmas, but sometimes you need a more traditional card — one that folds and has room for a hand-written note. Maybe you need a festive thank-you card for your kids' teacher or something nice to give a special co-worker. Have you ever thought about giving a card to your presiding elder or branch officers thanking them for all they've done throughout the year?

Good Cheer Greeting Cards

Materials:

  • Good Cheer Greeting printed size 4x6
  • Envelope for 5x7 size card
  • Cardstock – Mine just happened to be 12x12 inches
  • Scissors
  • Adhesive squares or tape
  • Embellishments (stick-on gems or pearls, ribbon, fancy-edge scissors)

1. Download the size 4x6 file, and print only the page that contains the image you want. Cut out the desired image.

2. Use adhesive squares or tape to affix the image to the lower right-hand corner of the cardstock. Fold the cardstock along the left side of the image to create the card.

4. Use scissors — plain or fancy — to trim the cardstock to approximately 5x7 inches — just keep trimming till the card fits in the envelope.

5. Have fun decorating!

An even easier option is to buy a set of pre-folded 5x7 blank cards — the kind meant for crafting and that come with matching envelopes — and print your Good Cheer Greeting in the 5x7 size and attach it to the front of the card. The Joy to the World card is an example of this.
