Today's experience was submitted by Sister Terri Nath. If you have a testimony or a miracle that you'd like to praise God for, please submit it to us. We'd love to rejoice with you.
Our son, Jonathan, loved to sit in little cubby holes, and one of those places was in one of our lower kitchen cabinets. Since he loved sitting in there, I was always making sure there was nothing in there to harm him.
One day, he was sitting in there with his feet hanging out, and I walked out of the kitchen for a minute. When I walked back in, I heard him choking. I pulled him out as fast as I could and looked in his mouth. I couldn't see anything, so I began feeling around in his mouth, but couldn't feel anything.
He began to turn blue, and I knew I couldn't get him to the hospital in time, so I tried the Heimlich maneuver with no success. I cried out to God, "Don't take this child from me, too!" (Two years prior we had lost a daughter.)
As soon as I finished my plea to God, Jonathan quit choking and opened his mouth. On his tongue was a small piece of clear cellophane. Where he found it, I have no idea. God heard and answered my plea. God has performed so many wonderful miracles throughout my life I can never sufficiently praise Him.
Editor's Note: How many times has the Lord been there when we didn't even know danger was present? Let's all take a moment to just thank Him for our safety and the safety of our loved ones today.
