Childlike Faith

I was riding my bike a few mornings ago listening to the soundtrack from "Frozen" because that's the only album I was able to get to play thru my app for some reason. I do love the movie and the songs, but I wouldn't normally listen to them for a workout.

Anyway, it got me thinking about why I love the songs, and it's probably because they make me feel like I'm a little kid again. And isn't it true? There is a small child in each of us ... one who imagines, creates, dreams ... it brings me back to a time of little responsibility, when using my imagination, creating, and dreaming didn't have any obligations lingering in the background. Those were the days!

I also began to think about why God wants us to be like little children.

When we are children, the things we imagine and create and dream can be like reality to us. It's a simple faith, like, in knowing that our parents will take care of us and provide our needs. God wants us to have that simple faith in Him — putting away the anxieties of the world and the uncertainties of our lives, so that we may have a greater desire to learn more and discover the richness of the Gospel.

In essence, we must, "Let it Go."

Maybe I will keep that soundtrack for my workouts after all.
