Today, we're kicking off our March Miracle Monday theme, which is fasting and/or prayer. We could still use a few experiences to finish out the rest of the month, so if you have an experience that involves fasting and/or prayer, please share it with us! Today's experience is from Sister Betty D'Orazio.
We were at a picnic at my brother's home when, all of a sudden, his dog bit my daughter Mary, who was 4 years old at the time, on the face. He bit her in two places, below the eye and full on the cheek.
Blood was everywhere. She was anointed, and we then went to the emergency room. The doctor stitched her face, and we left.
At midnight, she woke us. The stitches had broken, and there was blood everywhere. We finally stopped the bleeding, and she fell asleep.
We went to the doctor the next day, and we explained what had happened. He said, "Her faced was not stitched. If it had been stitched, she might not be alive, as the infection would now be through her body."
Now, we know what took place in the ER, but we thanked God and left.
When we came home, we received a call from Sister Venuto, a prayerful sister in our branch, asking if Mary was OK. We told her what happened, and then she said, "At midnight, I was awakened and told to go into prayer for Mary."
What a wonderful God we serve! He is the same yesterday, today, and forever, whether the experience is 40 years old or one month old. His name is always worthy to be praised.
Miracles for April
We're going to go theme-less for the month of April. If you have an experience of any kind that you want to praise God for, please send it to us! Fill out our nifty submission form, and we'll receive it. It doesn't have to be a recent experience it can be an oldie. No special topic. We're just going to praise the Lord.
