Best of Miracle Monday: The Lost Lens Miracle
Today, we're kicking off the "Best of Miracle Monday" series. We're digging back in our archives for special experiences that we shared in the blog's early days so that those of you who weren't with us back then can experience them. Today, we're republishing "The Lost Lens Miracle" from April 2, 2012 submitted by Sister Melanie Suska.
One winter day in school, when I was around 10 years old, the bell rang at the end of the day, and I rushed outside to get to my mom's car.
As I was walking across the snowy yard, the wind blew and somehow one of the lenses in my glasses popped out. I had no idea where the clear, small circle of glass landed in the snow. I looked around but I couldn't find it.
I got in the car and told my mom. She was very concerned and tried to go look herself. We were tight on money, and she knew it would be hard to buy new glasses at that time. She couldn't find it, so we went home.
The next day was Saturday, I believe. My dad and I went back to the school where thousands of kids had trampled through the front yard. By this time, I could hardly remember where I had been walking when I lost the lens.
Dad searched in the cold and had no luck. After the second search, he got back in the car to warm up and said a prayer. He prayed that the Lord would help him find it. He prayed that God would turn the lens red so he could see it.
God heard. God listened.
Dad went back out to search again, when suddenly he saw a small, red piece of paper. It was circular in shape and about the size of a lens. He walked over to find that it was truly a piece of paper. He lifted the paper and found my lens underneath! It was not cracked or scratched at all. God is amazing!
