Behind the Scenes: The Gospel Blog and YOU

If you've been following along with this week's Behind the Scenes of the Blog series, you now know about our processes, our writers, and our website. Now, it's time to learn about the most important aspect of the blog — you! Well, more specifically, it's time to learn how you can get involved.

Contribute to Miracle Monday

Every Monday we share a miraculous experience submitted to us by readers like you. It's basically an expanded version of the Blessing Bits in the Gospel News.

Do you like Miracle Mondays? We do, too! And it wouldn't be possible without your contributions. Some people are shy to send in their stories because they do not want to brag or put themselves in the spotlight, but please look at it this way: it's all about praising God. We want as many people as possible to know about the amazing things God is doing.

What are the Miracle Monday themes?

Each month, we choose a theme, and we ask readers to send in miracles related (however tangentially) to the theme. It's one method of adding structure and sparking memories.

What if my miracle doesn't fit the theme?

Send it anyway! We'll get it in the lineup. We love reading about miracles.

What if my miracle happened decades ago?

We still want to hear it! God is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

What if it's not technically a "miracle"?

"Miracle" is a subjective word, and we don't want you to get hung up on verbiage. Miracle Monday is for any and all encounters with God. That includes testimonies, conversion stories, "coincidences" that aren't really, and anything else that shows God is alive and working.

What if it's not my miracle to tell?

Ask the source for permission to write it up, and then send it to us.

Where do I send it?

Use our nifty submission form! Paste it into the text box or upload it as a document. Or email it directly to TCOJCblog [at] gmail.com. (Sorry for the wonky formatting of that email address. It's to avoid displaying an unfriendly error message.)

Write an Article

Has God placed something on your heart? Did you participate in a life-changing class or seminar? Did you hear an inspired sermon? If so, write an article about it. Try to keep it to 500 words or less, and send it to us. We'd love to hear from you.

Share Photos, Songs, or Videos

Did your kids' Sunday school class sing an adorable song? Did you get a lot of photos of your teenagers at a service event? The great thing about the blog is that we have the ability to share multimedia. If you recorded it or snapped it, then send it our way.

See Tuesday's post for instructions on this. Writers LOVE when readers comment on their articles, so please don't hesitate to tell us how you feel.

Like, Tweet, Plus

After you've shared a recipe to your wall or re-tweeted a motivational quote, give that inspiring Gospel Blog article some sugar.
