Behind the Scenes of the Gospel Blog
We're taking another break from our regularly scheduled programming to bring you a special series about none other than ... the Gospel Blog!
We want to give you an inside peek into how the blog works. We didn't choose this topic because we're self-centered. Many of you may be new to the blog, and even if you're not, you probably have no idea who is on the committee or what goes into producing a week's worth of posts.
It's time to pull back the curtain and reveal all our secrets! (Just kidding. We have no secrets.)
But you may just learn something interesting you didn't know before. Today, our nifty graphic below shows the process that every article goes through before publication, start to finish. Check it out!
Sister Michelle Watson is the blog editorial director, and Brother Jerry Valenti is the committee chair. Brother Jerry reviews every article from a ministerial standpoint, and he makes sure the overall content of the blog fits with our beliefs. Sister Michelle does the day-to-day stuff: scheduling, editing, image sourcing, back-end website work, and such.
Our current lineup of regular writers have committed to churning out at least one article per month. These brave souls are
- Sister Natalie Shawver
- Sister Stefanie Callens
- Brother Rich Nath
- Sister Erin Light
- Sister Alena X. Ricci
- Brother Andrew DiNardo
- Sister Vicki Ali
- Brother Marcus Natoli
Regular contributors from the past include Sister Colleen Moore, Sister Christina Miller, and Brother Mike Fraschilla.
There are also plenty of other saints who have contributed regularly over the two and a half years the blog has lived and breathed. Many have supplied their talents for special series, and there is a contingent of very faithful readers who regularly support the blog by commenting on the posts.
Tomorrow, we're going to get you up-close and personal with our writers, so get ready!
