Today's Good Word reminds us that God delivers and leads the way. Whether you need Him to part the Red Sea in your life or you need a fiery pillar of guidance to direct your steps, He is able. Keep trusting; keep asking; keep knocking. He'll come through.

Spread the Good Word: 1 Cor. 1:26-29

Today's Good Word sheds light on the types of tools God chooses to work with and why He chooses to work with them. If you think you're not "enough" for Him to use you, then watch out; you might be just the raw material He's looking for.

Spread the Good Word: 1 Kings 8:27

Today's Good Word reveals how infinite God is. Whatever the heaven of heavens is — God's actual dwelling versus the firmament He created for us, maybe? — God is bigger. We have no ability to conceptualize a being that is larger than the space He occupies. True, we serve a big God. He is big enough to handle your problems and needs, so bring them to Him this weekend — and always.

Spread the Good Word: Alma 46:12 {Plus #saycheesetcojc}

We hope today's Good Word gets your Memorial Day weekend started on the right foot by reminding you of a long-ago memorial that brave soldiers believed was worth fighting for. Today, we see that God, religion, freedom, peace, and family are all under attack like we've never seen before. Let's raise the banner; let's speak up; let's be faithful in preserving the things most dear to us, following the example of those who have gone before us.

Spread the Good Word: Psalm 100:3

Today's Good Word reminds us of who we are — God's sheep, His followers, His beloved, protected flock. There are a million voices out there telling you the opposite. They are telling you that, instead of being one of God's sheep, you are actually God, the one in charge, the boss.

Spread the Good Word: 1 John 4:18

There's nothing to fear about Friday the 13th after reading a Good Word like today's. As fallen humans living in a fallen world, we can only experience a "fallen" type of love with each other on Earth. People are always going to disappoint us — and even scare us sometimes. It's only when we reach out to the Lord that we can experience perfect love, the kind that casts out fear.

Spread the Good Word: 1 Peter 5:7

If you're feeling like you're "on the outs" with God ... like you've fallen off His radar, like He's pressed pause on your prayers, like you don't matter to Him ... then let today's Good Word be a reminder that He cares about your cares.

Denial Ain't Just a River

Denial Ain't Just a River

Psalm 19:12-13, "Who can understand his errors? cleanse thou me from secret faults. Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression."

David starts verse 12 with a rhetorical question: Who can understand his errors? Answer: Very few people.

Nobody wants to admit when they’re wrong. It’s not in our DNA. It’s so much easier to blame others for our mistakes. Even from the beginning, Adam blamed Eve, and Eve blamed the serpent for their sins instead of taking ownership of them. From that day until now, we continue to play the blame game. We choose to break God’s laws and then act as if we haven’t done anything wrong at all.

Are you trying to memorize Psalm 19:7-14 with us? If so, leave a comment below to show that you're in.

Today, we're including a free printable of the scripture graphics from this week. Print it out on cardstock or another type of heavy-weight paper, and the images should be about the size of a business card. Cut them out, and use them as flash cards to aid your memorization. Or stick them in your wallet or purse, and thumb through them in your downtime. Another idea: stick them in spots you look often (your keyboard, bathroom mirror, dashboard, fridge, etc.)

We hope you're enjoying these articles and that you're benefiting from the effort of placing God's word in your heart.

Spread the Good Word: Galatians 6:8

Whether you have the greenest of green thumbs or you can kill houseplants by just looking in their general direction, we are all planting spiritual seeds every day. We live in a sowing and reaping system, and that means we eat only what we plant.
