Witnessing on a Bus

Witnessing on a Bus

Today, we're sharing our second restoration testimony. This one was submitted by Brother Don Ross.

Several years ago, as I was leaving work from New York City, riding a commuter bus home to the New Brunswick, NJ area, I was reading the Book of Mormon. I was thoroughly engrossed in reading it.

A woman sitting next to me asked me, “What are you reading?” I answered, “The Book of Mormon?” She then asked, “What is it about?”

My Father, My Physician

My Father, My Physician

Today's Miracle Monday is a testimony of God's loving care submitted by Sister Rebecca Martorana.

Recently my throat was hurting and I wasn’t feeling well. After several days of suffering, I went to the doctor, who told me that he needed to take a throat culture to see if I had strep throat. I must admit that I instantly turned into a 5 year old, as taking a throat culture has always been difficult for me. We’ll, I struggled through him getting a swab of my throat, and the test came back negative for strep throat. He said it just must be a cold.

The Case of the Missing Fitbit

The Case of the Missing Fitbit

Today's Miracle Monday is from Sister Ruth Batson, and this remarkable lost-and-found testimony reminds us of how God lovingly takes care of even the smallest things in our lives — if we ask Him to!

Alma 34 teaches us to pray for ALL things. I learned what that truly meant after an experience that God gave me recently, and I would like to share it with you.

My daughters bought me a Fitbit for my birthday, and I wore it every day. I came home from work one day and realized that I didn’t have it on.

Long Lost

Long Lost

Today's Miracle Monday is a testimony from Christmastime written by Sister Linda Scolaro.

It was Christmas Eve, and my husband and I were busy dividing and conquering, running errands, doing last-minute grocery shopping and spending a lot of time cooking for our Christmas dinner.

First, my husband misplaced his wedding band and college ring. He calmly said, “It will turn up.” At the end of the evening, I emptied my pockets, and my wedding band was gone as well. I slept uneasily, but I resolved that I would look for the ring after all of our Christmas festivities were over.

I Believe in Miracles

I Believe in Miracles

Today's Miracle Monday is a testimony of healing by Sister Theresa DeVincentis. If you are in need of a physical healing today, please take heart. All things are possible with God.

In January 2014, I had a blister on my heel, which turned into a diabetic ulcer. I had surgery to remove it, and my doctor said it touched the bone. After two weeks it became infected, and I had to immediately go to the hospital to be put on IV antibiotics. A culture of the infection diagnosed it as MRSA. I was anointed, and a few days later the doctor said it was infected, but that it wasn't MRSA. I was referred to a vascular surgeon to see if blood was flowing to my foot, which it wasn't. After they determined which vein was blocked, I had three surgeries to open the vein, clean out the infection, and insert a PICC line and wound vac to promote healing. I was scared and concerned that I may lose my foot.

There Is Nothing Going On

There Is Nothing Going On

Like so many women, I am guilty of not always staying on top of my needs, allowing other things to take priority. So, with a 15-day trip to Italy planned in early October and being overdue for my normal yearly screenings with my OB/Gyn and general practitioner, I realized I had to be deliberate. Putting it off, returning home in late October and trying to play catch up with the holidays right in front of me was not going to work. So, I made all the necessary appointments in September.

My eyesight was also a concern, especially my left eye. I had not had them checked in four years, and I knew that my prescription eyeglasses needed updating. My last appointment was with the optometrist at the end of September.

Testimony of Healing

Testimony of Healing

Today, we're back to our regularly scheduled Miracle Mondays! Today's experience is from Brother Dennis Moraco. Don't miss our note at the end announcing February's theme!

I would like to share with you my experience of God’s healing touch.

This past summer, I was hospitalized due to high blood pressure. While in the hospital, I complained to the doctor about a sharp pain on my right side. After further testing, it was discovered I only had one functioning kidney, the right one, and it had a small growth. More tests followed and the kidney was found to be cancerous with the cancer located in a very critical area on the kidney.

He Doesn't Stand a Chance

He Doesn't Stand a Chance

Today's Miracle Monday falls into this month's theme, which is "missionary work" because Brother Rich Nath was on a Youth in Action (YIA) tour when this occurred. But it also falls into last month's category, which was "fear." Enjoy this testimony of God's power over the enemy.

In the summer of 1998, I had the scariest experience of my life. Thankfully, it had a wondrous, happy ending.

Heavenly Harvest in Burundi

Heavenly Harvest in Burundi

Today's missionary-themed Miracle Monday comes from the mission field — Burundi to be exact. Enjoy this beautiful testimony from Brother Deo in his own words.

I grew rice in one of the valleys of Bujumbura during the summer season, and it was not easy to water it. You know we have two main seasons here in Burundi, the winter, and the summer. The winter is more productive than the summer.

They Are in My Hands

They Are in My Hands

Today's missionary-themed Miracle Monday is an account from Brother Richard Scaglione about a trip to South America. Enjoy!

Brother Frank P. and I made a missionary trip to Colombia and Venezuela from June 3 to 15, 2010. The blessing actually began the week before we left.

On Saturday, May 29, Sister Rose P. had a dream in which she saw the late Apostle Frank Calabrese laying hands on Brother Frank and me. He asked God to be with us on the upcoming trip.

Remarkable Rigatoni

Remarkable Rigatoni

We're kicking off our first missionary-themed Miracle Monday with a testimony from the journal of Brother Joseph Milantoni sent by Sister KarenJo Pandone. She says, "First miracle I ever witnessed personally. I remember standing next to Sister Maness as she turned the pasta in the roaster and I could see that as she turned she prayed. While she prayed I literally saw the roaster fill up to the top with pasta! I couldn't believe my eyes!"

If You Dread Death, This One's for You

If You Dread Death, This One's for You

We saved a special article that that Sister Josie Jasmin sent to us for this month's Miracle Monday theme, which was "fear." It's about fearing death. If you can relate to this, then read on for a beautiful message of comfort…

When I was a young person, I had a terrible fear of dying even though I was brought up under the sound of the gospel. For some reason, I would visualize being in the ground and submerged with all of this dirt.

I began to pray that the Lord would take this fear from me, and one night I had a dream.

Yannel and the Tornado

Yannel and the Tornado

October is all about scares and spooks for some people. Our Miracle Monday theme for this month, which is "fear," isn't meant to freak you out. We're actually hoping the opposite — that it will plant God's peace firmly in your heart. We think that today's story, from Sister Megan Garcia, will do just that.

The sky was dark, wind was whipping through the trees, and the local TV stations had interrupted all regular programming to follow the tornado warning issued for our county. A tornado had touched down about 40 miles from us, and we were in its projected path.

Fear of Flying

Fear of Flying

Today's fear-themed Miracle Monday is from Sister Kim Komjathy.

I’ve struggled with worry all my life. As I grew into an adult, my anxiety began to affect my work and personal life. I feel that God directed me to many wonderful counselors and doctors who helped me tremendously throughout the years. I’ve also been extremely blessed to have the support of many brothers and sisters who understand and share my affliction. But the thing I thank God for most of all is the knowledge and understanding of anointing.

I Need Not Fear

I Need Not Fear

Today is our first fear-themed Miracle Monday, and we are hearing from Sister Enza Pusillo.

One night, as I was sleeping, something caused me to wake, and as I lifted my head from my pillow, I looked across the room and saw two very, very tall men standing on either side of the sliding glass door in my bedroom. They were dressed in dark suits and stood as if they were at attention or on duty. Not thinking anything of it, I put my head back down, saying to myself “Oh, the angels are here.”
